Wonderful Wednesday – Renovatus!

This past weekend Chris and I had the privilege of attending our church’s youth retreat in Laguna Beach, Florida.  It was a great weekend spent with the youth and some of their families.  We spent the time away reminding ourselves to “Be Present.”  We took time to be present together in times of fellowship, to be present together in worship, and to be present in God’s presence as we listened to God’s voice and God’s calling on our lives.  We were able to take long walks on the beach, spend time in silence and prayer, and reflect on scripture as a group and as individuals.  A huge shout out to Chris and Carson for all their hard work in preparing and putting together the weekend for all of us!  And a big thank you to all the adult volunteers that served during the weekend – y’all are amazing!!!!

One of the non-spiritual highlights of the weekend was our trip to Gulf World where we got to see dolphins, sharks, penguins, and more.  I got particularly close to one sea lion named Duke – I think Chris was a little jealous 😉
